No letup in drug war; blast may be part of narco terror Dela Rosa
There would be No letup in drug war against unlawful medications regardless of the dangerous Friday night blast in Davao City, the head of the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Saturday.
PNP boss Director General Ronald dela Rosa said the impact could be identified with "narco-fear based oppression."
"That would not keep us from exciting the idea na baka mamaya a portion of narco-fear based oppression na rin ito. Baka energy nila mag-ease up 'yung ating endeavors against medications, mama shift 'yung ating consideration," Dela Rosa said in a broadcast press instructions in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
"Baka iniisip nila na as a result of the impact hindi na natin papansinin masyado yung problema sa drugs. Still no respite sa antidrug (battle)," he said.
The PNP boss said "police insight and examination units are directing an evaluation of circumstances encompassing the episode."
The Department of National Defense prior said the highwayman bunch Abu Sayyaf might be behind the blast.
"While no one has come up to claim the demonstration we can just accept this was executed by the psychological militant gathering Abu Sayyaf that has endured substantial losses in Jolo in the previous weeks," Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said.
The Abu Sayyaf Group prior denied it was behind the blast.
Representative Muammar Askali nom de plume Abu Ramie indicated an ASG partner as being behind the lethal impact.
"They are doing this to sympathize (with) our gathering and we are making an impression on President Rodrigo Duterte that all the Daulat all through the nation is not perplexed of him," Askali said.
