SEN. LEILA de Lima on Tuesday denied any association with a needed medication suspect, Kerwin Espinosa, saying a photo brought with him and a lady was only one of those numerous photograph open doors amid the decision crusade.

"I don't recall that this genuinely," De Lima told journalists.

"I don't know Espinosa, even the father," she said, alluding to Mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr. of Albuera, Leyte area.

The senior Espinosa had before surrendered to police after he and his child were recognized as medication pushers in Leyte. He was later ready to backpedal to open office. His child, in the mean time, stays on the loose.

"They are great at uncovering soil," a doubtful De Lima said when demonstrated the photograph.

"They were just among the individuals who requested that bring a photograph with me. That is not something like an organized meeting for sure. That was only a chance meeting, if that was in Baguio," the congressperson said.

She said one of the ladies out of sight of the photograph was an individual from her staff.

"I think we were simply going around and they drew nearer me. I don't have any acquaintance with him. I don't recollect that this. I'm certain of that," she said.

De Lima has been blamed by President Duterte for getting drug cash from sentenced opiates brokers who had purportedly turned the New Bilibid Prison as the operational hub of their illicit exercises outside. She has denied the charges.

In Albuera on Tuesday, Mayor Espinosa called a news meeting at the neighborhood police headquarters and repeated that he dreaded for his life after he executed a week ago a seven-page oath naming "intense" people purportedly included in his child's illicit medication operation.

The chairman, who has been staying at the police headquarters, said some of his child's defenders were top police authorities, congressmen and a congressperson, among others.

He included that he would not like to openly name these authorities pending his solicitation to be set under the administration's Witness Protection Program.

The sworn statement was a condition set by the police in return for insurance after the leader whined that he had been getting demise dangers made through calls from unidentified people in his mobile phone.
